Prosthetics
Custom-crafted prosthetic solutions using the latest microprocessor technology for optimal mobility and comfort.
Advanced Technology
Precision-engineered prosthetics for optimal mobility
Prosthetics are instruments that take the place of a limb that is missing through a congenital disorder, disease or trauma. Every prosthesis is crafted to each individual patient's condition.
From our offices in Mooresville and Elkin, Renewed Mobility provides care to Lower Extremity Prosthetic and Upper Extremity Prosthetic patients throughout the Lake Norman and Yadkin Valley areas. As an American Board Certified Prosthetist, Mollie Matthews utilizes the latest technologies, including 3-D printing, microprocessor-controlled prosthetics and myoelectric-controlled prosthetics to custom-tailor the best solution for each patient.

Lower Extremity
Prosthetics for mobility & independence
Lower extremity prosthetics replace missing limbs to provide the patient the mobility that includes walking, running and even swimming with advanced water-proof components.
Our Services Include
- Transfemoral/Above Knee Prosthetics
- Transtibial/Below Knee Prosthetics
- Symes/Below Knee Prosthetics
- Partial Foot Prosthesis
The Fitting Process
In most cases, an amputee may initially receive a temporary prosthesis while the residual limb heals and conforms into its cylindrical or cone shape.
A more permanent prosthesis will be prescribed when the limb matures. However, this prosthesis will have to be adjusted over time (and eventually replaced) as the shape of the residual limb will continue to change.
Advanced Technology
Microprocessor Systems
Microprocessors perform thousands of computations every second to help control the mechanical/hydraulic system in the prosthetic, which helps mimic more natural leg movement. This provides better mobility, safety, and prevention of falls.

Upper Extremity
Myoelectric technology for enhanced function
Upper extremity prosthetics have come a long way with the development of myoelectric controlled hands, which run on external electrical power. These advancements enhance the patient's functional capabilities.
Upper-extremity prosthetic care often follows a different path than lower-extremity care. Each patient's plan is individualized based on healing, function, and personal goals. Some patients may begin with an early or training prosthesis, while others are fit with a definitive device once the limb has healed and stabilized.
Advanced Treatment Option
Osseointegration: beyond the socket
Osseointegration is an advanced procedure that allows a prosthetic limb to attach directly to a titanium implant anchored within the bone, eliminating the need for a traditional socket. For some individuals, this may improve comfort, stability, mobility, and overall quality of life.
While osseointegration is not appropriate for every amputee, it can be an excellent option for people who experience persistent socket discomfort, skin problems, or difficulty using a conventional prosthesis.
How Renewed Mobility Can Help
At Renewed Mobility Prosthetics & Orthotics, we are here to help you through every step of your osseointegration journey. Whether you are exploring this option, preparing for surgery, or need expert prosthetic care following your procedure, we will work closely with you and your surgical team to maximize your mobility and independence.
